I tried spending using the card and there was an issue.

Issues accepting the card

Usually there is a simple reason for an issue spending your card. 

Not enough funds on the card 

The balance of the card can be checked by scanning the QR code on the back of the card. We would suggest doing a quick double check by scanning the QR code or visiting www.getmybalance.com

Sometimes, people are looking to use their gift card towards a larger purchase. For example, they have a gift card for £200.00 and are looking to buy a £250.00 item. 

In this circumstance, the business will need to complete two card transactions. One for £200.00 using your gift card and then a separate one for £50.00 using your other funds. This is known as a "Split Transactions".

 Staff Training

Occasionally new staff might unfortunately not be aware that they actually accept the gift card. All businesses accepting the gift card have had to "opt in" and complete test transactions to be part of the programme. Sometimes though businesses can decide that they no longer wish to accept the card so if you aren't able to get this resolved instore then do please let us know.

Card Damaged

In rare circumstances, the card magnetic stripe could have become damaged. If this is the case then please contact us and we can send you a new card.
